Advisory to corporate clients focuses mainly on the domestic and cross border of tax (and corporate) planning, e.g. set up of tax efficient (and fully compliant) structures for M&A transactions, LBO, lending, extraordinary transactions like issue of equity/debt instruments, transfer of business. Specific focus on Luxembourg-based structures (Soparfin, SICAR, SICAF, etc).

Advisory to Private clientele encompasses the taxation of financial products, personal portfolio’s optimization strategies, i.e. in general wealth planning strategies, including appropriate succession planning strategies set up.

As authorized auditor, he sits on the Corporate Audit committee of several companies and he is authorized to assess and certifies financial and/or restructuring/turnaround plans in the context, for instance, of leveraged mergers (ex art 2501 bis Italian Civil Code) or debt restructuring or turnaround plans under Italian bankruptcy law.

Formation

Graduated in Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano in 1994, member of the Register of Chartered Accountants from 1996 and Auditors from 1999.

Specific competences and skills in cross-border transactions and advisory mainly to international groups achieved in almost 25 years practice in the tax department of international auditing firms (KPMG and Arthur Andersen in the years 1995-2000), then in the tax and M&A department of leafing law firms (Baker & McKenzie, Watson, Farley & Williams in the period 2000-2012).
